The KTM Komuter is a popular mode of transport to commute to Kuala Lumpur. Passengers of the KTM Komuter can rest in the comfort coaches while being taken to their destinations at very reasonable fares.
The KTM Komuter is the first electrified commuter train service in Malaysia. Its train network covers more than 280km length of railway network that accommodates 59 stations
From 15 December 2015, the routes of Seremban Line and Port Klang Line were switched temporarily as part of trial exercise. Trains from Seremban began heading towards Batu Caves, while trains from Port Klang headed towards Rawang.
KTM Komuter's tickets can be purchased at the ticketing counters or by using the self-service Ticket Vending Machine, which are available at all stations and halts.
Transfers between the two main lines can be made at any of the four stations on the central core: KL Sentral station, Kuala Lumpur station, Bank Negara station and Putra station.
Interchange with the LRT network can be done at Bandar Tasik Selatan station for the Sri Petaling line LRT, and at Subang Jaya station, Kuala Lumpur station or KL Sentral station for the Kelana Jaya line LRT.
Passengers may also transfer to the Ampang line LRT in the city centre at Bank Negara station by means of a 200-metre covered walk to the Bandaraya LRT station. Also, from the Putra station, the PWTC LRT station is about 1km away.
To change to KL Monorail, passengers will stop at KL Sentral station then take a 400 meters short walk to the KL Sentral monorail station.
Passengers opt for the MRT network can perform the interchange at Sungai Buloh stationto the Sungai Buloh MRT station, Kuala Lumpur station to the Pasar Seni MRT station, KL Sentral station to the Muzium Negara MRT station, and Kajang station to the Kajang MRT station.
KTM Komuter also services shopping complexes and recreational centres. The Mid Valley station opened in 2004 next to the Mid Valley Megamall. The Subang Parade and AEON BiG Subang Jaya are nearby Subang Jaya station and The MINES shopping mall is nearby Serdang station.
GO TO SHOPPING MALLS
KTM Komuter has made shopping complexes and recreational centres more accessible. The Mid Valley station, which opened in 2004 next to the Mid Valley Megamall, has proven particularly popular.
Other shopping centres located near KTM Komuter stations like Subang Parade and AEON Big Subang Jaya are located near Subang Jaya station. The MINES shopping center is located near Serdang station.
The Nu Sentral shopping mall is just about 400 meters walk away from the KL Sentral station.
GO TO KILA/KLIA2 AIRPORT
There is no direct connection from any KTM station to the airport. Instead, after reaching the designated KTM station, you will have to make use of another mode of transportation to go to the airport.
If you want to go to the klia2 / KLIA using KTM Komuter train, you can take the KTM Komuter train to the Nilai KTM station, and then hop on the Airport Liner shuttle bus to the klia2 / KLIA.
The KTM fees charged on traveling between KL Sentral station and Nilai station is RM7.00.
Alternatively, take the KTM Komuter and stop at the KL Sentral KTM station and then change and ride the KLIA Ekspres or KLIA Transit to klia2 / KLIA.

Connect to LRT rail network
To transfer between the KTM Komuter and the LRT network, these are the stations accommodate easy transfer within short walking distance.
Connect to MRT Sungai Buloh - Kajang Line
To transfer between the KTM Komuter and the MRT Sungai Buloh - Kajang Line, these are the stations accommodate easy transfer within short walking distance.
Connect to Express Rail Link (ERL) Train
Passengers for KLIA / klia2 airport may take the KTM Komuter to KL Sentral station to take the KLIA Ekspres or KLIA Transit ERL train. Alternatively, passengers can stop at Bandar Tasik Selatan KTM station and walk over to the Bandar Tasik Selatan ERL station for KLIA Transit ERL train to the airport.
KTM Komuter's integrations with other rail systems
The KTM Komuter network consists of two lines namely the Port Klang line and Seremban line. It covers more than 280km length of rail network that has 59 stations.
